HRCP expects better human rights situation after Musharraf’s resign

LAHORE - Human Rights Commission of Pakistan has termed the resignation by Pervez Musharraf as a chance towards a better situation in the country ensuring human rights to the people.

Asima Jehangir Chairperson HRCP, while talking to APP here on Tuesday, said that now after the exit of Musharraf the political forces are free to implement their own policies regarding human rights as well as other core issues. It is up to the politicians that how much they could improve the governance in the country, she observed.
